This section of my website is aimed at exploring the wicked problem:
How do I create the best possible Kindergarten experience?
As a new Kindergarten teacher, I often hear people talk about how Kindergarten is "its own world" and that it should be treated differently from other grades. I have overheard and read discussions about how Professional Development opportunities in schools are not applicable to Kindergarten classrooms. I have been told that Kindergarten isn't "what it should be" or "what it used to be". All of this left me wondering, what SHOULD it be then? As a new teacher, new to the Kindergarten world, how am I supposed to provide my students with everything they need despite being told that my teacher training probably didn't set me up for success in this grade?
My hope is to use what I have learned in my own classroom to create a positive environment of success for my students. I turned this into a webpage so that other teachers can use what I have learned to help themselves do the same!
